At Bedrock, we're obsessed with making our footwear better. We gain insight through our own adventures along with feetback from our Bedrockin' customers - whether it be through email, in-person, or via our annual customer survey.

After tens of thousands of miles trekking, rafting, and biking in Cairns, our flagship sandals are getting a proper upgrade on February,13th 2024 with the new Cairn Evo series —an evolution in both fit and function. Don't worry, the core essentials of our award winning sandals wont change at all, like our Patented Y Strap design or our super durable Vibram® soling. The Evo line upgrades will enhance the Cairn experience - making them fit more comfortably and last even longer.

The most substantial of these changes on the Evo is improving our sizing and tweaking our sole shape to give folks a better and more comfortable fit. This sizing will also correspond better with typical US sizing - especially in our smaller sizes. Learn more below about some of the features that we are improving on the Evo below. 

In the meantime, please note that our current Cairn models are being sold without anymore restocks and on close-out pricing.

2024 Evo Sizing Upgrades

The biggest change to the Evo line is our new sizing. The smallest sizes we offer (5/6 - 7/8) will be getting considerably bigger in both length and width to make them truer to the US standard. All sizes in the Evo line will feature a straighter shape and improved toe post location to accommodate more foot types. This new shape will have more effective forefoot width while retaining the minimalist shape folks have come to love - even those with narrow feet. Note: For those interested in Evo Re-soul, it will likely be available a couple months after we launch the new Evo line. At that point, you will be able to Re-soul your current Cairn to our new Evo soling if you choose to do so.

2024 Evo Sole Upgrades

• We are upgrading all soling in our Evo line. All Evo models will feature our new wing stitch box channel for extra durability. 
• All our Non-PRO Evo models will feature an upgrade in Vibram® soling. They will feature Vibram® XS Trek Evo - a step up in grip, while retaining the ultra durability status of XS Trek. Our PRO Evo models will continue to feature Vibram® Megagrip, for the ultimate in wet performance, and sport a new darker gray colored outsole. 
• Our Evo 3D footbed features a refined toe-post triangle for extra comfort.

2024 Cairn Evo C - New Cushioned Model 

Bedrock's firm midsole platform has always been geared towards performance and longevity on adventures. Although our firm soling performs + lasts the long haul for those charging on trails and rivers, it has left more cushion to be desired for those seeking everyday comfort on pavement and light hiking. The Cairn C midsole will feature a thicker, lighter, and considerably softer foam to provide more cushion for those wanting it. This model will launch alongside the new Cairn Evo line in early Spring 2024.
