Follow these instructions to take care of your Bedrocks and maximize their life-span:

For footbed's sake, do not leave your sandals in extreme heat (e.g. hot car) or intense direct sun exposure for durations ( e.g. sunny porch). Our ultralight Go Far Vibram® footbeds can warp if left exposed in these environments. To clean your Bedrocks, handwash with a brush, water, and your favorite eco-friendly soap! Let them dry in a shaded environment or briefly in the sun. Do not machine wash.

To keep your Velcro® heel-strap long lasting, use side buckle adjustment for every-day in and out, and occasionally remove grit and debris from heel-strap by scrubbing with a wire brush.

Quality product and top notch customer service

I haven’t had the opportunity to use this sandal much as it’s currently winter where I’m from but I’ve worn it around the house quite a bit and it’s quite comfy and built well. I will say the customer service was fantastic. When I purchased the sandals, my computer must have auto filled the shipping address to an old address and I didn’t catch it before they were shipped! (Shipping was too quick!) But I contracted customer service and they quickly had the address changed for me before it got out to delivery.

    Not great for wide feet

First impressions: They seem very well built and robust. I ordered Cairns in my normal size, however if they had a wide option I would have got those as my feet are a little wide, but they do not offer any wide sizes at this time. As expected, they fit great lengthwise, but my foot comes right to the edge of the footbed on the sides. I adjusted the hook and daisy chain strap to it’s largest setting to allow my foot to move toward the inside edge of the footbed and center itself in the sandal. Sizing up to accommodate for width isnt really and option here because placement of the toe cord is also critical for proper fit. As a longtime Chaco wearer, I got the Bedrocks to replace the Chacos as a camp shoe for backpacking and bikepacking, i just can’t justify the weight of the Chacos… in fact I retired my Chacos for backcountry use a long time ago and have been using Crocs, which are light, but the crocs suck on uneven terrain especially if they’re wet (as in river crossings or walking/swimming in muddy rocky lakes that are prevalent here in Wisconsin). Overall, i think the Bedrocks will meet my requirements for a lightweight camp shoe that are secured to my foot for climbing around on rocks and swimming/fording rocky lakes/streams. But, I am also a huge fan of wearing wool socks and extending sandal season into the fall and winter, and while admit that is pretty nerdy, I’ll probably have to draw the line at the toe socks required to do this with the Bedrocks, a bit too dorky even for me.. plus I have a drawer full of nice wool socks varying from thin to super thick, the the BRs probably wont be replacing the Chacos anytime soon.
