Pros: —They’re well-made —G Hook adjustment works great —Fast shipping & responsive customer support Cons: —I cannot get my heel to stay in place without really tightening down the straps. My heels rub on the outside wall at casual tightness. —No half sizes. I am a solid 10.5, and the 10 was too short/narrow, while the 11 is a tad too large all around. I feel like that contributes to the heel security problem the most. Neutral (problems for me): —The toe strap exacerbates a nerve problem I have in one of my feet, unlike some other thong sandals I’ve tried. —I wish I would have gotten the 3D contoured version, as the completely flat footbed is a little too minimal for me. Overall: Nice product that probably just isn’t for me in the long run. I’d love to see half sizes and a Z style that doesn’t have the toe strap.
I've been looking for the perfect minimal sandal for awhile now. The other brands that I have purchased from the straps weren't well connected to the base of the shoe and they ended up breaking when I'm in water and my feet are slipping around. So far that hasn't been an issue with these. I've worn them in lakes and rivers and they have excellent traction, don't flop around your feet in water, and are pretty minimal, in terms of zero drop and wide toe bed. They don't necessarily allow for full connection with the ground because this model is a little thick, just a warning for any barefooters looking to be able to feel the rocks beneath their feet. These shoes are also great for wearing around town! 10/10 would recommend.
These are my first pair of minimalist sandals and I love them. It's taken my feet some time to adjust but it feels very natural now. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to get closer to barefoot walking.
I’ve been a Chaco wearer for three years or so... three years of me telling myself “they’ll be broken in soon” or “they just need to be adjusted” or “I’m sure everyone gets EVERYTHING stuck under their feet in these sandals...” to say I didn’t TRY and WANT to wear them would be craziness. 3 years!!! I needed something new, something that didn’t give me blisters after a mile leisurely walk. So I figured Bedrocks looked promising, I have boney/wider feet, so the open edges were super appealing to me (again... especially coming from Chaco straps). My husband and I both got a pair, and we both L O V E them! NO BLISTERS! NO JUNK GETTING STUCK UNDER MY FEET CONSTANTLY! Walk through a creek? One would think “I’m for sure getting blisters now....” NOPE! We forgot we even got them wet, no rubbing, irritation, or blisters. My husband does not wear shoes that are “in-between the toes”, and he only had to make a minor adjustment on one foot and hasn’t had any issues with being a “in-between the toes” sandal wearer since. We are from Pennsylvania, aka “Rocksylvania”, and while you can definitely feel said rocks more so then if you wear your hiking boots it is not debilitating or hard on your feet. Already know we will be dedicated Bedrock wearers for a long, long time.
I purchased the Charcoal colored Carin PRO II Adventure Sandals for my boyfriend, and he LOVES them! He's always preferred thong sandals, and therefore stuck with flip flops. But, with his love for outdoor adventure he really needed a sandal that could keep up with his activities. This shoe is perfect! He loves the shape, and more importantly the lightweight sole. He never purchased comparable sandals before because they were too "bulky". I highly recommend purchasing them!!! I might even get some for myself. :)
