I bought the Cairn Evo's to hike the Narrows at Zion NP. I wasn't sure how they would hold up being submersed in water for 3 hours while scrambling over lose river rock. My biggest concern was not knowing if my foot would slip around on the footbed or if the straps would come lose. I carried a backup pair of river shoes in my backpack just in case. To my amazement, the sandals did not slip at all on the footbed and the straps never came loose. I'm truly amazed by this because my other barefoot minimalist sandals often need adjustment from time to time, especially in wet conditions. I absolutely love these sandals and will continue to check out their other products. The secure straps, grippy footbed and grippy outsole is superior to any other sandal I've owned. I got the Pro version of the Cairn sandal because I prefer the solid strap hooks as opposed to velcro. I might just get another pair, maybe the thinner version. The sandal fit perfectly out of the box, I didn't have to adjust any of the loop positions either in the heel or over the forefoot.

Killer, fast and loose, the way lemmy would have wanted it and I personally would have it no other way. This is what god LEMMY) would have worn on those warm days in the valley between trips to the rainbow. This is my second pair and one of the best pair of footwear I own. These go to work, daily multi mile walks, ocean swims, rivers, lakes and hiking.
