I've owned several pairs of sandals over the years, and the Cairn Evo 3D PRO is hands down the best I've ever worn. The fit is secure, they're incredibly comfortable, and the traction is outstanding whether I'm hiking, around the water, or just wearing them every day.

The build quality is excellent, and it's obvious these sandals are made to last. I also had a great experience with Bedrock's customer service—they stood behind their product and made the warranty process quick and hassle-free.

I received my replacement pair quickly, and the quality is just as impressive as my original pair. These are the only sandals I'll be wearing from now on. Highly recommended!

They are a very secure fit, adjust your heel strap and leave it. Then the strap on the outboard side of the ankle you can sinch it up to go hiking, or leave it loose for around the house for easy on and off. With that strap loose you can slide and wiggle your feet in and out without using your hands.

The soles have decent enough traction on slippery river rocks covered in algae. But that's like the ultimate test for traction anyways . With careful foot placement walking in creeks isn't a constant struggle for life and limb. The footbed is textured in a way that even wet feet dont slide on them. Combined with the very secure straps your feet aren't going anywhere that you dont intend for them to go.

I only wish is for a version that has a thinner stack height. Perhaps in the 10-8 mm range.

I recently put these through the ringer on a weekend trip to Southern Utah where we did just over 50 miles of hiking through sandy washes, mud, over slickrock scrambles. These sandals were the only things I wore the whole time. I did not spend a lot of time breaking them in beforehand.

I didn't get any blisters or feel any real rub spots. I would argue these are the most comfortable hiking sandals I have ever used (compared to a few other companies that shall remain nameless), and they seem to be exceptionally durable as well.

I'm giving 5 stars as these are far and away better than any other hiking sandals I've used, but there are a couple things that could potentially be improved.

Pros:

- Comfortable.

- Vibram Sole is incredibly sticky. Never had any issues holding onto the rock.

- Durable (hosed mine off and they looked new again).

- Stylish.

-3D sole holds to your foot better than expected.

-Hook and loop back strap is fantastic. Way better than Velcro.

Cons:

- Sidehilling is a bad idea in these sandals. There were a couple times I almost fell down an incline because my foot slipped off of the sole. Generally, I'd recommend walking straight down if you can while you're descending in these. It's more comfortable than you might expect. Many hiking sandals have this same issue.

-The strap, and especially the main plastic triangle on top of your foot can get decently uncomfortable if you get sand in there (we're talking about walking through sandy washes). If you…

Recently, I bought the 3D Pro model, and I instantly fell in love with it. The additional 2mm of cushioning makes a subtle yet noticeable difference in both feel and performance. The textured 3D footbed provides a unique sensation with every step, like a message being conveyed. I tested them backpacking this past weekend, and I couldn’t be more impressed.
