    I switched from Cairn Evo to Cairn Evo 3D Pro

    This review is about my experience switching from Cairn Evo to Cairn Evo 3D Pro.

    I wore my Cairn Evo's for 2 years of high volume use. I loved the light weight, minimal feel. I would use them for a range of activities including everyday wear around town, creek activities, travel, and climbing approaches over step and rocky terrain. I was practically living in them from Spring to Fall. When it came time to either resole or change models, I made the tough choice to switch to the Cairn EVO 3D PRO.

    It's been three weeks of daily use and super happy with the switch. I was initially worried I might notice a change in ground-feel with the thicker sole, but that hasn't been the case at all. I've also found the 3D PRO's contour in the footbed really helps with lateral stability when taking committing steps on angular talus and while bracing against fast moving spring runoff in a slippery creekbed.

    While I also really enjoyed my Cairn Evos, I'd say the switch to the Cairn Evo 3D PRO has been an all around upgrade. The 3D PRO better aligns with my lifestyle and has had no noticeable drawbacks.

    Amazing

    Sandals are very comfortable, even when walking for a long time. They have great grip in water, when crossing streams I didn’t slip at all. They are very lightweight which I love for backpacking trips. Overall great purchase.

    Best Sandals ever

    Got myself into a very sketchy situation doing some class 4 scrambling, while hiking up for a late season ski. These held up great and stayed comfy, couldn’t be happier with them.
