    Why did I wait so long??

    I received my 1st pair of Cairns this week, just in time for record heat in March in Colorado, and am quickly wondering why I waited so long to try these! I have used at least 4 other brands of minimal/barefoot sandals, and all of them pale in comparison for me. Bedrock Cairn’s “Y” strap design solves 2 problems with the other brands I have tried, namely that the pull of the toe strap at a diagonal across my foot caused pain at the base of my 2 nd toe, and that no matter how tight I made the straps, it still didn’t feel secure on my foot. Bedrock has solved that! And with a beefy Vibram sole for traction too. So while I “can” wear more minimalist sandals, the trade off to have the Cairn be secure on my foot and at the same time not need the straps overly tight is wonderful! A bit more sole protection for rocky trails is not a bad thing either.

    These were super easy to adjust, just needed to center my foot on the footbed and adjust the heel strap, then off I went. Since I’m used to being barefoot and in minimal shoes already, I had no adjustment period for wearing them full days.

    They will be the only sandal I need going forward, and I see a black “dress” pair in my future!

    Even survived the Narrows!

    We hiked the Narrows in these. Everyone said we needed canyoneering shoes but my husband knew his bedrocks were enough!
