For the past 10 years, the only adventure sandal I wore was the classic Chaco Z1 sandal. I've worn the same pair for YEARS, and they've been showing signs of a much needed retirement so I was on the market for a new sandal! I can confidently say this shoe outperforms the Chaco Z1 sandal in every category!!! Right after getting them I hiked about 15 miles of Havasupai with them (multiple river crossings, high heat, lots of sand, some moderately technical terrain, some slippery wooden ladders) and am so happy with the performance!! I didn't get any blisters or hotspots, I could trust my feet during technical parts, and the transition between river crossings to dry soil was pretty seamless. one of my favorite things about this shoe is how little rocks and debris gets stuck in the shoe and how easy it is to remove if it does get stuck. I am super pumped about these shoes, excited to see where they'll take me in the future. I recommend these shoes to anyone who is looking for a high-quality, trustworthy, reliable shoe (sandal or otherwise), in and out of water.

I am have wider feet and usually wear a size 7 shoe (~38 eu). In my experience the sandal size fits true to size!

ALSO- my partner is an AVID Bedrock wearer (I've never seen him in another shoe besides these for as long as I've known him) so I knew that they'd be a great shoe.

I had my doubts because my right foot is a half-size smaller than the other one. But because of the genius fastening system, I’ve had no trouble fitting both feet. I’m very glad that no Velcro is used to secure the sandals. They are absolutely secure. They’re comfortable with and without socks. I was also afraid that the slight arch support would hurt my foot affected by plantar fasciitis. Such is not the case. I’m looking forward to cooler weather because then I can wear tabi socks with them. They are my favorite and most comfortable footwear. I want to wear them everywhere.
