I am pleased with the Mountain Clogs, they are comfortable for my agroforestry work so far in the early spring. The closed toe is growing on me versus the open sandal type I have normally worn for many years now. It definitely keeps the bits a pieces out. In the wet spring, I have no "slip" which was very common with open sandal styles. Once they got a little moisture, and combine some mud, and the sandal seemed a completely separate entity to your foot every time you step. Sloped terrain was a struggle to keep the sandal under your feet. These clogs seem to skip that problem completely while still promoting the breathability I like. We will see as the season warms if the clog is too stifling in our humid summer weather. I am often on my feet in the woods 18 hours a day, so closed shoes generally promote fungus and smells.

My initial 100-200 mile impression is I like them. They are easy to put on and remove. Have very positive strapping that once set, seems to stay in place and lock the clog to your foot comfortably. The anchor points are built into and part of the out sole, which is huge as normal sandals for me fail where the straps pull free from the tiny glue joint after a few months of side slope walking.

I have no detractions at this time, I am only waiting to see how the hot humid weather affects my foot in them. I would buy a "warm" season version with top side ventilation ports if offered in the same construction and strapping system.

Got these for my boyfriend for Christmas! First off, I want to compliment the customer service. When I took too long to process the return, they were incredibly understanding and helpful. Since he'd never worn the shoes, we were able to exchange them for the right size no problem.

Now that he has the right size, he loves them! He's been wearing them every day for these heinous Indian Creek approaches and absolutely loves them. Thanks so much!! Will be buying myself a pair one of these days ;)
