My husband bought a pair of these a year ago to take to Yosemite, and he's been hyping them ever since. Even though I was skeptical of having a strap between my toes, I finally decided to try a pair after the Chacos I live in got old enough to need to be replaced. My husband showed me how to adjust the straps and then, with his assurance that the sandals would require no break-in period for feet used to zero-drop shoes, I took them on a solo vacation filled with heavy walking on pavement.

I was absolutely miserable. The sandals didn't leave blisters under the upper straps, but my toes were in agony after only an hour or two. Every time I tried to wear them the same thing would happen: okay for a bit, and then limping agony. I couldn't believe anyone could ever love Bedrocks, and vowed to give them away when I got home.

Sooo...It turns out my husband had neglected to tell me that the inner straps are adjustable. This fact is very obvious on his light-colored sandals, but easy to miss on my black ones. The inner strap came pre-adjusted to the longest setting, which made the top strap lie at an angle across my foot. It turns out I needed the inner strap to be adjusted to the shortest setting so that the top strap would lie straight (as intended).

Now the sandals are perfect and never hurt my feet! The toe strap doesn't even bother me. It's possible that the toe ridge would still have required an adjustment period (my Chacos don't have a ridge), but I can't be sure that the…

My 22-year old son suggested I get a pair of Bedrock sandals after he bought them and loved them. Then I heard about the hometown connection (Shenandoah Valley) so I had to have them! I have worn them nearly every day since I got them 2 months ago. I have the one with the most cushion which I prefer. He likes a more bare-foot feel. They are just my most comfortable sandal and my feet hurt when I try to wear anything else!
