Best sandals for traction in the river I have ever used! Easy to get on-off and doesn't slow you down when swimming, a must buy!
I've been looking for footwear like this for ages!! I live in a desert climate with rugged terrain. So far, I'm absolutely thrilled with my purchase. Wore them out of the box on a 6 mile hike and no issues to report. The adjustment system is easy to use and ingenious. The soles are grippy, quality material, and not bulky. Fits the minimalist ticket in a climate that requires a bit more than a thin barefoot style sandal.
I’ve been sampling the minimalist sandal market and these Carin sandals have a lot going for them. The fastening system is very convenient and provides a lot of customization. It may not be “infinite” like some other brands claim, but after some playing I found a configuration that is comfortable and stays on my foot. I will say that the ring used to hold it all together can be uncomfortable if it is sitting in the wrong spot. Especially if you really tighten the straps down. Otherwise, they’ve stood up to basic life very well. Hopefully I’ll be able to take them hiking or something a bit more rough soon I have high hopes based on how they’ve dealt with what I’ve used them for so far.
Absolutely excellent. I have had the normal Cairns for a couple of months and I ordered the Pro version for the wet months in the UK. Yesterday I used them for the Copthorne 50. Cold, mud and hills. Lots of hills. My feet are absolutely fine. Not even one hot spot. I am sure I would have had blisters and trench feet with closed footwear. I must say that I have been wearing exclusively minimalist shoes or sandals for more than a year but these are the ultimate footwear.
Terrible at coming up with original titles... But onto the real reason I'm here. I love my Bedrocks so much! Have been wearing them non-stop. I originally got the for an out the country trip I was taking that consisted a mix of hiking in jungles and walking in urban areas. They held up great! Only issue I had was that one of the inner side straps rubbed a bit and caused a little rawness at first. Read through a page (poss this one) where someone suggested stretching it out/hammering it out). All I had to do was wear a small bandaid for a couple days and it was enough to give it that little stretch. Other thing was the sizing. I printed out the little foot outlines but still managed to get a size that was very exact to my foot whereas I would've preferred it a bit bigger. Not a huge issue, just a personal preference. I happened to have received/ordered right before having to leave so I didn't have much of a chance to return/exchange. But like I mentioned, they're still great and it's not an issue.
