Great as minimal sandals with Vibram soles - I love having Vibram under my feet with minimal tethering. Con - the buckles don't hold tightly so, I have to readjust the straps every 10 miles (or less).
Next month will be four years since I bought my Classic sandals, I have put an unimaginable amount of wear and miles on these and I see no end in the future for these incredibly strong and comfortable shoes. I live in the PNW where I am often out in the rain and dampness, the grip and durability is amazing, they clean easily (i don’t mind the dirt) and even when they are wet they do not rub or cause any hot spots. I wear a woman’s 8.5 in Merrell barefoot shoes and wear a mens 7/woman’s 8 in the Bedrock Classic sandal. It was almost 4 years ago but I do remember a bit of adjustment and readjustment that took place during the first week or so while I was trying to dial in the straps. All these years later and I’ve never really had to fuss with them ever again. My feet and these sandals have become one and it’s the next best thing to being actually barefoot. I almost wish they would fall apart just so I could support Bedrock and buy another pair! Thank you for the marvelous design, I am so happy to have found these and grateful for the adventures we share!
These are well constructed sandals and I am sure I will get many miles on these shoes.
I bought my first pair of Bedrocks in 2014 and wore them bald--I loved them, though found them a little too thin for my liking (stepping on some small rocks the wrong way hurt!). The latest sole is a much better thickness for me. My only complaint is that the new material that your foot rests on is textured as opposed to the completely smooth version before. It traps foot smell and can cause a bit of friction on the bottom of your foot. My previous Bedrocks never got stinky but these ones started to in just 2 weeks. However, that texture makes my foot slip around inside them less, so that's good. Ultimately, I'm very happy with them, will just have to soak them in baking soda occasionally.
