Vibram® Megagrip Sole in non-marking grey Andesite is super grippy and designed to perform in wet + slippery conditions. Re-soulable.

Follow these instructions to take care of your Bedrocks and maximize their life-span:

  • For footbed's sake, do not leave your sandals in extreme heat (e.g. hot car) or intense direct sun exposure for durations ( e.g. sunny porch). Our ultralight Go Far Vibram® footbeds can warp if left exposed in these environments.
  • To clean your Bedrocks, handwash with a brush, water, and your favorite eco-friendly soap! Let them dry in a shaded environment or briefly in the sun. Do not machine wash.
  • To keep your Velcro® heel-strap long lasting, use side buckle adjustment for every-day in and out, and occasionally remove grit and debris from heel-strap by scrubbing with a wire brush.

      Cairn 3D Pro 2

Used the template for sizing and the fit was perfect. The footed seemed hard at first but after a short breakin of about 10 miles and a couple days of wear I find it very comfortable. First outing was a quick 2 mile hike of Elys peak on the SHT. Started off dry and started to rain after we reached the top. Grip on both the dry and wet rock scrambles was excellent. The thicker, heavier then expected sole performed excellent on rocks and roots. At 6' 2" and 225 lbs I need a decent amount of protection on rocky trails to avoid bruised feet and this sole delivered. I love how secure they are with the strap tightened up. I spent a couple days in and out of knee deep muck and weeds and neve once had a sandle pull off or out of position. Well done Bedrock you have exceeded my expectations.

Perfect River, Hiking and Desert Proof Sandal

When my sandals first arrived, I was a bit hesitant. They seemed stiff and uncomfortable. I put them on, adjusted them accordingly and went on my way. I've been wearing them for a week straight now and not a single blister. I've hiked in them, canoed in them and they are WONDERFUL. I've been on a mission to find the perfect rafting and hiking sandal (and cactus thorn proof), and they have exceeded my expectations. They are hard, but that only tells me they will last. I go though Tevas and Xeros out here in a matter of months (and they don't have killer warranty like Bedrock). These feel sturdy, secure and still minimal (not clunky or heavy). OH, and also they have bomb customer service.

Bedrock Sandals are one of a kind

I have Chaco's and Luna sandals too. They are okay for some things. I have the thick sole Lunas thinking they would work for river sandals. The heel strap slips off constantly when walking or I get them so-o- tight they cut between my toes. The Chaco's are a good sandal but the adjustment seems to change every time I put them on- or my feet change. The Cairn 3D Pro II's are great. I love the no-slip adjustment for both the toe and the heel. I don't think I'll lose them or as what has happened with my Chacos be wearing them around my ankle. Great design, I wish I'd seen yours a long time ago.

They are perfect! The adjustment mechanisms for the heel and foot straps are bullet proof - adjust once and you're done. I am so pleased there is no Velcro too. Comfortable, supportive and great traction with the Vibram soles.

Even Better Than The OutdoorGearlab Review…Which Had Them As Editor’s Choice.

I’ve had a few pairs of Tevas, a few pairs of Keens and a couple other odds and ends. Either they didn’t give me enough stability in the water or they collected rocks and gravel in the footbeds so I kept having to take them off. I trust OutdoorGearLab for their extensive reviews. In my opinion they are hardly ever wrong and when I differ it’s for small, idiosyncratic and/or aesthetic differences. They raved about the Bedrock Cairn Adventure but I wanted some to use in the river so I got the 3D Pro II version. After a couple of weeks of use I’ve got to say they are the best wading and walking sandal I’ve ever worn. Fit just like a flipflop with enough wiggle so your foot can move around. Even loose they keep traction in the water but if you need to you can cinch them down and they won’t move at all. No rocks or gravel can get under your foot because of the minimalist design. $135 is a lot of money for sandals but when they’re this good, look this cool, fit this well, work great in dry or wet conditions and seem like they’ll last for a long time it’s really a small price to pay. Read the OutdoorGearLab review https://www.outdoorgearlab.com/reviews/shoes-and-boots/sandals/bedrock-cairn-adventure and then run, don’t walk to buy a pair. You won’t be disappointed.
